Women Empowerment

Women Empowerment Program

Women are the backbone of every society, yet many are held back by poverty, lack of education, social inequality, and limited access to opportunities. Sahaar Welfare Foundation is committed to changing this through its Women Empowerment Program, which aims to uplift, educate, and empower women—especially those from marginalized backgrounds—so they can lead independent, confident, and dignified lives.

We believe that when a woman is empowered, her entire family and community benefit. Our initiatives focus on equipping women with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to become self-reliant and active participants in society.

Key Highlights of Our Women Empowerment Initiatives:

Skill Development & Vocational Training

We organize training sessions in tailoring, handicrafts, beauty care, and basic computer education to help women develop employable skills and start small businesses.

Self-Help Groups (SHGs)

Formation and support of SHGs where women come together to save money, share knowledge, and take small loans for their entrepreneurial ventures.

Awareness Workshops

Regular sessions on gender equality, domestic violence, legal rights, menstrual hygiene, and women’s health issues are conducted to empower women with the right information.

Support for Girl Education

Special campaigns encourage families to send girls to school and support them throughout their educational journey.

Entrepreneurship Support

Women showing leadership and business potential are provided mentorship, market linkages, and small seed funding to scale their enterprises.
